The largest wakeboarding behind the boat event in Europe is coming back!
The Chill & Ride wakeboard festival in Freistett at the river Rhine (40km from Baden-Baden) is awaiting you! Visitors & contest riders are welcome from August 21st to 24th to join a first class wakeboarding show as well as many side events!
Last year the event crew around Danièl Butzerin was handling about 30 wakeboard boats and more than 300 riders during the four day event. Michael Felixberger from co-sponsor Centurion Boats is pretty enthusiastic about the concept and will also provide a boat for the contest and for testing.
Centurion Boats and Seadoo Jetskis as well other sponsors such like Quiksilver and RONIX will exhibit in the boathouse and visitors will have the possibility to make good deals on wakeboarding equipment and fashion and boards can also be tested.
The chillout lounge and the F&B area will also be placed in the boathouse. Big parties will take place all nights of August 22nd and 23rd.
Special thanks go to sponsors such as Nissan, Quiksilver, Centurion Boats and Becks beer who made the whole event area possible! The judge crew will take place on the Rheindamm in front of the contest and the show – the www.sport2.de press lounge will be located close to the judge tower.
All wakeboard pros and amateurs, who will take part at the contest and show can spend the nights in tents sponsored by Nissan which can be booked for a fee of 30 EUR per tent. People can keep the tent if they like after the event. It is a unique souvenir!
The crew is looking forward to welcome the “crème de la crème” of the German and international wakeboarding sport: Adam Field (USA), Elke Venken (Belgium) und Kyle Raatray (CAN) from the Pro Team Centurion, David Vervenne (Belgium), Jan Calvez (France), Conni Schrader (GER) und Andy Meyenberg (CH) are all coming with their fans and friends and some of them even with their own wakeboarding boats … for example Conni Schrader from Hamburg.
Conni is the German Champion 2005, 2006 and 2007. He is such a big fan of the Chill & Ride festival that he will miss T-Mobile Playgrounds on August 23rd in Hamburg. He is coming to Freistett to hang around with friends and in order to battle against all the others – in a familiar and friendly atmosphere instead.
