This year from the 8th – 10th July we went to Wakestock – and what a time we had!! We were guests of Cadbury and travelled up in a VW camper to the festival on the Friday, we were coming from Cornwall and it took a solid 8hrs driving to get there!
Abersoch is a stunning part of the world and if you were also there, we know you enjoyed it as we had a blast.
Cadbury were exhibiting their “Minute To Win It” game show in an arena at the festival, we went along and competed in the games. Here are our photos from the arena:

What is Minute To Win It?
Contestants take part in a series of 60-second challenges that use objects that you can normally find around the house. We played the “Triple Pong Plop” where you need to get 5 ping-pong balls into a fish bowl by bouncing them off 3 plates, lined up in front of the fish bowl. It’s one of those games that when you look at someone else playing it looks incredibly easy – though when you have a go it’s harder than you think!
The Music
Ellie Goulding on the west stage on Friday night, she was certainly enchanting with faultless vocals, with an awesome Elton John cover ‘Your Song’.
Whilst there we were lucky enough to see:
Example
The Wombats
Sub Focus
Nero
Beardyman
Biffy Clyro
- And there were loads more fantastic bands at the festival – bring on 2012!

Now to the wakeboarding, on Saturday at Pwllheli Marina the boat finals got underway, with the sun shining and a little wind the conditions were near perfect. As the contest progressed the tide was dropping and riders were under pressure to perform with the adjusting wake conditions. In the mens final were:
Dan Nott, Sam Carne, The Bomb, Shawn Watson, Danny Thollander, and David O’Caiomh.

In the womens event, Argentinian Robbie Rendo took her third win in the boat finals, and Steph Caller took the best overall rider on the poolgap and the mens boat finals went to Irish rider David O’Caoimh.
