Wakeboarding Experience

Wakeboard days are an ideal way to sample the sport for the first time in a safe environment with trained instructors. Days are available nationally, most include a session of land-based training with experienced staff to prepare you for your first attempts on the board in the water. You'll then progress to a water session to try popping up out the water on the board and sustaining a ride before possibly attempting to jump some wake.

Costs
Experience days in wakeboarding can be a really fun way to see if you like the sport and to meet like-minded people, which can be especially helpful if you decide that you want to take the sport further. Wakeboarding can be pretty expensive so an experience day could help to put you in touch with people who can tell you about how to keep costs down by sharing equipment or by joining a club.

Requirements
In general, the only real requirements for most wakeboarding days are that you are able to swim and that you are at least 8 years old, but it is worth checking with individual companies before you buy anything as some companies have further weight or age restrictions. As part of your activity experience package you can expect to be given a full safety briefing, extensive instruction in wakeboarding and for all equipment to be provided. You should also be given individual tuition when you are out on the water- particularly if you are finding it difficult to stand up or stay up! Most days are usually group-based so it's a good idea to check out how many people might be in each group to ensure that you get as much one-to-one tuition as possible.

Groups
A wakeboard experience could make an exciting gift for a friend or loved one. It could also make for a really memorable stag or hen party or friend- reunion party. Most companies do group discounts as well for this sort of thing. You can be guaranteed a lot of laughs as you watch each other struggle to stay on the board as the boat pulls up some speed! Ice-breaking is much easier in a group situation and wakeboarding is an exciting and challenging sport so should make the party a real success.
